This week, the children are learning about water. For this, I planned an activity that involved the use of water and challenged the children to use their senses. For this activity, the children used a spray bottle to spray the jello powder on the paper. Once they sprayed the water on the page, the chidlren were asked to make observations of if the jello powder changed colour and what it smelt like.

The children were very curious as to what each powder smelt like and could not wait to find out what the real smell was. Most of the children were very accurate in their predictions which surprised me because I would have had a difficult time distinguishing each scent.
