Stained Glass Activity

CLICK ME!

This week, the children are learning about light so I planned an activity that can help them become more familiar with the concept of light. For this activity, I prepared all of the materials a couple of days in advance. For starters, I had to cut out all of the individual stencils. Next, I had to cut the laminating sheets the size of each stencil. Lastly, I had to cut the tissue paper in small squares for the children to easily use.

The children were appreciative of the different stencils that I provided them with. Their options were a rainbow, butterfly, and a rectangle rainbow pattern stencil. The children each made their stained glass creative and unique and were excited to see their work on the windows. One child in particular amazed me because he remembered what the original colors of the rainbow were and replicated it. The rainbow turned out beautiful as well as everyone else.
