Mitten Patterns

Today, the children had the opportunity to create their own patterns on their mittens. I provided them with sequences and foam shapes that they were to glue onto their mittens. The children made very creative patterns that surprised me. They were able to identify what a pattern is and made very nice designs through the use of patterns.

Once they are complete, I will hang their work along the shelf for all the children to see. This will give the children a sense of accomplishment and an opportunity to share their work with their peers.
