This weeks focus is on spiders. Spiders are creepy crawly critters that are not considered insects (which really shocked the children). Today I read the story, 'Diary of a Spider' by Doreen Cronin. This story is very interesting, factual, and funny. The children were very attentive and able to remember facts that were mentioned in the story (ex. spiders have 8 legs, fangs, eyes, etc.). Throughput the activity I gave the children hints to help them, but the children did a great job with filling this chart on their own.
