Many Catholic Elementary Schools have been been closing down throughout the year of 2016 and 2017. This really upsets me because as a member of the Catholic community, I believe that the Catholic school tradition should go on. People should have the option of choosing between Catholic or Public School. As a future Educator, I want to work in a Catholic School. I love the religious traditions that go along with it, such as the prayers in the morning announcements, prayers before every meal, religion at the end of the day and the religion crafts that go along with special religious holidays throughout the year.
If you click on this banner, it will take you to an article of a Catholic school shutting down in Vaughn. Parents are very upset, as they are saying it will tear the community apart.
Easter Activities
The children really enjoy watching these videos on the smart board. The cartoon keeps them interested in the episode and it's amazing that they enjoy learning about their religion at such a young age. If Catholic children are placed in public schools they won't have the opportunity to fully learn aboutt heir religion in greater depth. They ill only be intorudced to brief concepts of holidays and religious holidays without truly understanding them or experiencing them.
This is an Easter activity idea that is very cute. The children enjoy stamping easter eggs with potatoes. Its an easy and less messy way of decorating eggs for little ones!
